we didn't know what to do

We have begun to implement the sleeping bag policy at night. While walking them back to their beds is the best way to get rid of this pesky habit, it is not that easy at 2am.

So whenever they come in, they can go back to their own bed, or sleep in their sleeping bag on the floor in our room, and hopefully eliminate the kidney shots that mom ALWAYS seems to get.

Early this morning, Trisitn came in fussing. He has started waking up in a foul mood. Just fussy and crying. It is really frustrating. Anyway, he shows up at our door.

Zach lets him in, and gets his sleeping bag out. Tristin grunts a negative response to actually sleeping in it. Zach gives up for a minute to use the restroom.

Tristin leaves.

He actually walked over, opened the door, left, stumbled through the living room and back into his own room.

Cristi (staring into the blackness of the living room):
Stunned silence.

Zach: Where'd he go?

Cristi: He left.

Zach (turning is attention to the blackness of the living room) : Silence.

Cristi:
Silence.

Zach:
What should I do?

Cristi:
I don't know.

What did you do? At least you know he wasn't rummaging through the closet.

Hilarious. We tried the sleeping bag as well and it does not work with Makenna perhaps I should be sterner.

Is 'sterner' a word?
