Our new puppy is named Sookie. It fits her. She is a hypoallergenic dog and is a 'non-shedder.' She is a maltese/shih tzu mix, and will probably get no more than 12-15lbs.

I have yet to hear her make noises - grunting, whining, barking, etc. She is (as of this moment) pretty much house broken, so that is nice.

Zach has spent a lot of time cuddling her. The excuses vary from, "I spent $xxx.xx on her and I don't want her to get stepped on!" to, "She's the only member of this family who doesn't want anything from me but love!" This last statement was after I was pestering him to pick up some stuff he had laying around.

As for the hypoallergenic part, Zach has spent a good deal of time with her, and doesn't notice any allergic reaction. If anybody wants to meet her and do an allergy test, please feel free! And she is so silky soft!

There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog to those of us with serious allergies. I've done my own testing on this. But the thought is nice. :)
